We're halfway through 2024, and we’re continuing our momentum by adding new features like incident capture and time entry verification tools while enhancing existing features and integrations.
Here’s what’s new:
Capture safety incidents on web and mobile
It’s now easier than ever to accurately document accidents, injuries, and illnesses from both the field and the office with our new incident capture feature. With this tool, you can quickly record incident details and attach supporting documents like photos, videos, and witness statements.
You can also classify the incident and indicate whether it’s recordable per OSHA standards. Finally, you can automatically alert key stakeholders with email and text notifications.
Take a proactive approach to jobsite safety and compliance.
AI photo ID and verification questions for time tracking
We’re protecting customers from time fraud and buddy punching by adding new ways to verify worker identity when clocking in and out of the jobsite. With AI photo identification, workers are required to take a selfie every time they clock in or out to confirm they are who they say they are.
Even if a photo does not match, workers can still clock in and track time as usual. Admins can quickly review the verifications online to ensure accuracy and follow up where needed.
Plus, we’ve also added the ability for admins to create custom verification questions that pop up whenever workers clock in or out. Admins can easily review responses in Raken and track compliance.
Photo watermarks and settings enhancements
You can now automatically add critical information (including location, timestamp, and your company's logo) to every picture captured in Raken with our new watermark feature. You can also choose where the watermark shows up on your photos—top, bottom, left, or right.
To make photos and videos easier to manage and find, crews in the field can also choose if they want to save them in Raken to their mobile device and how they’re organized (by project or to a certain folder). You can find photo and video settings under the “account” tab in the Raken app.
Easily sync checklists with integrations
We made collaborating with teammates even easier with our recent update for our cloud storage and project management integrations. Now, you can sync completed checklists between collaborators to monitor compliance and increase jobsite safety.
The integrations included in the update are Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Egnyte, OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Box. You can enable checklist syncing via the integration settings tab for seamless pairing.

Usability improvements
Capture break end times
We’ve also added some flexibility in how break times are captured.
You can now capture break end times in addition to a start time and duration with Raken to help meet your individual state or other regulations. Simply capture start and end times and we will calculate the duration for you.
To edit these settings, go to you project > settings > payroll and time, then scroll down to "break requirements".
Bulk assign certifications
Users can also save more time now by bulk assigning certifications to multiple employees. That way, if multiple employees take the same course or certification, you can simply update all of their certifications at the same time.
Improved offline functionality
Internet connectivity on the jobsite is often spotty at best. That’s why we’re continually working to improve our offline mode capabilities.
We made a few enhancements recently, including adding the option to easily choose and update the critical projects you need access to offline—or projects that offer limited connectivity. You can find this new feature in your app under Account > Offline Preferences. Keep the jobsite and the office connected, even when the internet isn’t.
Coming soon
Raken keeps getting bigger and better, and we’re not done yet. In addition to further improving offline functionality, we’ll also be adding enhanced document storage capabilities to help you keep everything organized and in one spot.
Plus, stay tuned for information on innovative new integrations.
